RF-SMART Voice: True Multi-Modal Functionality

Now integrated into every RF-SMART transaction is the ability to use voice, barcodes, keypad entry, RFID or other data collection method in virtually any combination across transaction steps. Simply choose the most efficient mode of data collection and validation for each step of transaction: - Voice where using two hands is faster and safer - Scanning when verifying a barcode - RF device keypad to make inquiries or enter a quantity - RFID when RFID tags or labels are being used.

You can even let the end-user decide, at the time of the transaction, which mode to use based on their situation, task and/or preference.

By enabling companies to fit the right mode to the right person for the right task, RF-SMART delivers greater gains in efficiency, productivity and accuracy than any other solution on the market. While using RF scanning alone improves productivity by 10% to 15% over paper-based processes, multi-modal/voice users typically see an additional productivity increase of 15% to 25%.

RF-SMART Voice Technology

RF-SMART Voice leverages highly advanced  Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) and Text to Speech (TTS)  technologies to provide an easy-to-use system that delivers optimal performance in noisy supply chain environments.

Our ASR technology recognizes spoken entries in several different languages regardless of the person’s accent—even when they have a cold.  It’s so advanced,  individual voice templates are not required for speech recognition.  Instead our system analyzes speech patterns and sound waves to recognize a defined library of spoken commands. Therefore, non-command talking is ignored.

The output from RF-SMART Voice uses TTS technology, which transforms text from your ERP system and RF-SMART to spoken words using a male or female voice.  Progressive voice algorithms present end users with that data using a human-quality voice that features proper phonetics, volume, pitch and inflection to ensure clarity.
